Pulguito has had a cold for the last week or so. The last several nights, he hasn’t been sleeping well. Since he was having trouble breathing from the congestion, I gave him triaminic. The triaminic only lasts for 6 hours, so a dose at 8, means he’s waking up around 2 am. Last night, he didn’t even make it that long. He woke up around 10:30. I tried to put him back to sleep in his bed, but that didn’t work, so we got up and watched CSI:Miami. Well, I watched it with the sound turned very low, and Pulguito nursed. He finally fell asleep around 11:30, and we both went to bed. He woke up again at 12:30, and this time, I didn’t want to disturb Robert’s sleep, so I lay in bed with him until 3 am. I think I slept for part of that, but it’s hard to remember. He woke up again at 6, but went right back to sleep with a little nursey. Unfortunately, Chunguita was up and ready to face the day, so I had to get up, too.
Chunguita really is a darling child. We worked on word searches while Pulguito slept. Chunguita can’t find any words, but she’s really interested in all the letters in the various words and tries very hard to circle them in the word search all by herself. She behaved so well, playing by herself, eating her bowl of cereal, getting dressed, and “cutting” until Pulguito got up. Then she was all over him, and it drives me nuts when either one of them is screaming. He’s screaming because she’s manhandling him, invading his space, touching him, or getting in his face when he just wants to sit there and eat apple slices. But she really is a darling child.
